The Morris
Arboretum and New Directions in the American Landscape present its 20th
annual landscape design symposium, “Native Landscape Design Exploding into
the Mainstream” on January 13 and 14, 2009 at Villanova University in
Villanova, PA.
Landscape design is changing, and changing fast.
As ecological design becomes common practice designers
will need to expand the scope of their services, learn to design on a larger
scale; and reassess their criteria for selecting and arranging plants. This
program will go beyond buzzwords like “green” and “sustainability”, to
provide a real world blueprint for designers to thrive in this exciting new
professional environment.
